Dear Fellow Members of the Great Class of 1961,
As your new class president, I would like to welcome you as we transition into the "Old Guard." The "Old Guard" reflects Princeton's strong reunion culture and respect for its oldest returning alumni. We have just completed a wonderful 65th reunion weekend with the return of 54 classmates and 84 family members who attended the celebrations. The Friday afternoon Memorial Service, organized by George Brakeley, was a moving, memorable event. Outgoing president Peter Pettibone conducted the annual class meeting on Friday evening. We elected new class officers, and welcomed Sue Pierson and Dottie Werner as honorary members. We are very grateful for Peter's 10 years of outstanding leadership. George Brakeley was presented with "The Most Distinguished Class Service Award" for his decades of faithful, unwavering service.
