December 4, 2021

Dear Fellow Classmates and Associates,

We are planning our first mini reunion since the beginning of the pandemic (and actually, since a long time ago)! We will be convening Monday to Wednesday, April 4-6, 2022 in the Washington D.C. area during the Cherry Blossom Festival. Note that all attendees must be fully vaccinated against Covid19.

Class Vice-president/Treasurer Peter Boer and Ellen Boer have offered to sponsor a VIP tour of Mount Vernon on Tuesday, following a luncheon at their home on the Potomac. The bus to and from the Cosmos Club will be covered by the class.

We are planning to have class dinners on both nights. Monday dinner will take place at the Metropolitan Club, and Tuesday dinner will be at the Cosmos Club. Estimated cost is $150 per person for each dinner, which includes wine. One of the speakers will be former U.S. Ambassador to Russia John Beyrle. The other speaker is not definite yet.

Wednesday is an open day to gather in smaller groups or visit some of Washington's great attractions (see suggestions below) on your own.

Housing will be available at the Cosmos Club for out-of-towners at $195-$260 per night, depending on room size. To book a room, please call 202-387-7783 and mention that you are with the great Princeton class of 1961. Credit card and proof of vaccination required.

Please click here to sign up and specify which of the events you're expecting to attend. It's non-binding but the information will help us in our planning process. Your response by December 15th will be appreciated.

Looking forward to it!

Cheers,
The Organizing Committee: Bob Fuller and Gene Lawson (co-chairs); Peter Pettibone, Joe and Ev Prather, Peter and Ellen Boer, George Brakeley, Len Berton, Mike Horn, Gil Omenn, and Art Smith.
