The
gathering will center around an event, started in 2008, called the "Pre-rade."
Alumni will assemble on the Nassau Hall front lawn at 4 p.m. to cheer on the
members of Princeton's entering freshman class as they march from the Chapel
through FitzRandolph Gate to start off their undergraduate experiences. The
Pre-rade is a true celebration of Princeton spirit at the start of a new year.
The Class of 1961 will welcome and reach out to the Class of 2016 beginning with
the Pre-rade. No doubt you noticed that '16 is '61 spelled backwards!
It will also provide a fine first opportunity for members of our
class to get together at the beginning of the new academic year.
'61 Barbecue luncheon at Cannon Club: 1pm. $20 per person. Drinks & parking included (see map - use Ivy Lane to access lot behind Cannon). Pre-rade at Nassau Hall front lawn: 4pm. Sign up and see who's coming below.
Alumni are
invited to join the freshmen for a barbecue on Alexander Beach that follows the
Pre-rade. Alumni are also
invited to join '16 at Blair Arch at 5:30 p.m. for the Freshman
Step Sing.
