Reception with cash bar: 6pm

Dinner: about 7pm.  Choice of appetizers, entree, and dessert; wine included. Dinner selections will include beef, chicken and fish, as well as several vegetables. If you have special dietary requirements beyond those, please let us know before March 11.


Cost: $95 per person.


Orange & black clothing encouraged, especially class ties. Even reunion blazers are welcome to brighten up the club!




After Dinner Speaker: 

John B. Bellinger III '82

Title:Change and Continuity:  Detention and Prosecution of Terror Suspects under the Bush and Obama Administrations and related topics.  Q&A to follow. 

    

John is a great speaker, a leading expert and spokesman on Guantanamo, "torture", rendition, National Security, Law of the Sea, and all International Law matters.  He was U.S. Department of State Legal Adviser (2005-09) when Cookie was Inspector General.  Prior to that (2001-05) he was Senior Associate Counsel to the President and Legal Adviser to the National Security Council at the White House.   He also served as Counsel for National Security Matters in the Criminal Division of the Justice Department during the Clinton Administration (1997-2001), as Special Counsel to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (1996), and as Special Assistant to Director of Central Intelligence William Webster (1988-1991).  

John is presently a partner in the international and national security practices at Arnold & Porter in Washington, where he advises sovereign governments and companies on a variety of international law and U.S. national security law issues. 
He is also one of four U.S. members of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Hague. 

John is Class of '82 (Woodrow Wilson School) and Harvard Law School '86.
