Three of them have already been taken. The last one may be booked by calling Murray Simpson ’59 at 301-229-4880, or email Murraycora@aol.com. And Patrick Davidson writes: For the University's list of Princeton vicinity lodging, click here. Many of these hotels are already filled, charge high rates, require a 2-night minimum stay, and some even want a prepayment. But with some classes now releasing blocks of rooms, there may be availability. However, the Marriott web site lists three hotels that are five to nine miles outside of Princeton, more reasonable with a Marriott Senior Rate (as of April 1st) and accept 1-night reservations. These are: 1. Marriott Residence Inn Princeton-So.Brunswick Rt.#1 (5 miles) $212 night with breakfast 2. Courtyard Cranbury-So. Brunswick by NJ Turnpike Exit 8A (9 m) $135 night (senior) 3. Courtyard Ewing-Hopewell off Rt. 95 near Trenton Airport (9 m) $144 night (senior) The AOL travel website also lists a Best Western and some Red Roof Inns.

MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE CLASS OF 1961

The class of 1961 annual meeting was called to order at
9:00 PM by President John Graham. The meeting was held at the home of Bob and
Mary Pickens in Princeton.
The president thanked Bob and Mary for their hospitality
in hosting the reunion dinner and the social hour. A donation to the class scholarship
fund was made in their honor.
The minutes of the class annual meeting of May 30th, 2008
were approved.
OLD BUSINESS
The President thanked the class officers for their
support and efforts for the past year. Especially Pat Davidson for chairing the
previous annual meeting as well as organizing the Yale weekend activities along
with Joe McGinity; George Brakeley for his faithful reporting on class
activities in PAW, as well as his sensitive treatment of class memorials; Mike
Burton for keeping the class financially solvent, and Len Berton for managing our outstanding web
site.
The class also expressed appreciation for the classmates
whose leadership made the class activities possible:

NEW BUSINESS
Finance Report
Treasurer Mike Burton reported class funds of $33,600
composed of funds in a money market and checking account in Arvest Bank in Tulsa,
plus the class PayPal account.
He also advised that 266 classmates contributed $13,300
in class dues and 84 contributed $5,100 to the class scholarship fund. This was
a decline of about 15% from last year.
Annual Giving
On behalf of class co-agents Rick and Kathy Wall, the
president reported class participation in Annual Giving at 44% which compared favorably to last year. It was
later reported that the final tally at the end of June 2009 was 61.6% and
$169,000 contributed to the University. This was somewhat smaller than last
year.

following events in the coming school year:
